Curriculum
Is designed to teach the children in an integrated approach meeting the needs of all the children in a differentiated class environment. The program will incorporate all the different learning styles needed for the varying needs of the children. The special needs learners will have their additional needs catered for within the framework of their age group.
Learning
Play is the cornerstone of the pre-primary class. The school’s aim is to incorporate play and structured activities based on the Western Cape Education Department Curriculum. The integrated approach facilitates all areas of learning around a weekly theme incorporating literacy, numeracy and life skills which include gross motor activities, drama, creative work and music. All learning will incorporate a Christian worldview and foster a love for and dedication to Jesus through the use of Bible stories, rhymes and songs. The school has four classes, grade 0000 (age2-3), grade 000 (age 3-4), grade 00 (age 4-5), and grade R (age 5-6) with the maximum of fifteen learners per class. Each class will be taught by a qualified teacher. Depending on the specific needs of the special needs learners, additional staff will be allocated.
